Integration for Closed Source Applications

If the target application is a Windows program and is either closed source or the added investigation capability of the address painter is required, consider Mail*PASTE closed-system integration.

Mail*STAR can be configured to emulate keyboard/mouse input of local windows reliably pasting address data into any target window. The Mail*STAR “copy” icon triggers pasting verified address data into the target by:

a)    Locating the target application’s window using all or part of the window’s title
b)    Setting the target window as the foreground window causing it to receive input
c)    Issuing a mouse click on the first target address data field
d)    Formatting and pasting CASS standardized address data navigating target fields
e)    Restoring Mail*STAR as the foreground window

LAN, WAN, WEB based CASS Standardization

Mail*SERVE provides LAN, WAN and WEB based USPS® CASS standardization and DPV delivery point confirmation service to client applications using Perl, PHP, CGI, Java, ASP.NET, C/C++, C#, VisualBasic, PowerBuilder or any programming interface supporting TCP/IP sockets.

C# Java PHP samples  are provided which integrate Mail*SERVE CASS/DPV service with web based clients. The following steps are necessary for making USPS CASS standardization DPV confirmation server requests via the API.

• If necessary, resolve server hostname’s IP address
• Open the service socket at IP:PORT
• Issue the Mail*SERVE request receiving the CASS DPV address results
• Use CASS results to replace raw input address attributes
