PainterPuerto Rico Urbanization Lookup

To send mail in Puerto Rico it is necessary to know the urbanization name related to the street. Mail*PAINTER allows you to look at the urbanization names list only when the state-code context is “PR” (Puerto Rico).

USPS AIS data contains Puerto Rico urbanizations that do not have any street address references. Mail*PAINTER will indicate that there are no candidates conforming to the clue.

If a USPS ZIP Code is specified then the urbanization candidates are limited to the postal ZIP Code selected. Otherwise, the scope of the search is all USPS ZIP™ codes in Puerto Rico.

Mail*PAINTER allows you to find the urbanization by entering only the clue name. The urbanization clue name field is live, meaning that every new character entered updates the Puerto Rico urbanization candidate list. 

Puerto Rican addresses use an extra line called “Auxiliary Line”.This line is solely used for urbanization or building name. The USPS almost never reports a building address in Puerto Rico urbanizations.
